Kenneth E. Stice 93 of South Jacksonville passed away early Thursday morning June 29, 2017 at his home.
He was born May 13, 1924 in Bloomfield the son of the late William and Ona Hoots Stice. He married Bonnie Cannon February 18, 1983 in Jacksonville. Kenneth farmed was a carpenter and cabinetmaker, he also worked as a bricklayer and concrete finisher with the union local#8. He served his country in the US Army in WW II. He was a Staff Sergeant in the infantry serving in the Asiatic Pacific theatre. He attended Bloomfield School.
Surviving is his wife Bonnie at home. His children Gail (Junior) Dossett of Patterson, Brenda Smith of Loveland, CO and Russell (Debbie) Stice of Effingham, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Donnie Stice.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Tuesday July 25, 2017 at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
Visitation will be on Monday from 10 until the time of the service.
