Freddie Eugene Snodgrass, Sr. age 77 of Roodhouse, died Friday, January 5, 2018 at White Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 3, 1940 in Alton, the son of Walter and Margaret Weedman Snodgrass.
Freddie is survived by three daughters, Darla (Rollo) Angelo of Nortonville, Pam (Allen) Ward of Murrayville, and Dawn (Mike) Haverfield of Patterson, and four sons, Carl (Barb) Ratliff of Patterson, Fred (Robin) Snodgrass of Roodhouse, Matthew (Stella) Snodgrass of Bloomington, IN. and Granger (Mallory) Snodgrass of Spring, TX. There are 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. There is a brother, Tom (Sue) Snodgrass of Oxville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Lewis and Howard Snodgrass.
Freddie served in the U.S. Army in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. He was an electrician and heating and air conditioning technician for most of his life. He enjoyed drawing, fishing, and woodworking, especially building birdhouses.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall, with burial at Oxville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Condolences may be left on-line at www.airman-hires.com.
