Obituary of David Ford

David Paul Ford, age 60 of Roodhouse died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born February 28, 1956 in Jacksonville, the son of David F. and Lucille Maurine Barnes Ford.

Paul is survived by his mother Maurine Ford of Virden and formerly of White Hall, a step daughter Vicky McGee of Jacksonville, four step grandchildren, two sisters, Mary S. (Dale) Elenberger of Chatham, and Mildred L. (Charles) Cody of Virden, a niece Annitta Emme, two nephews, David Matrisch and Peter Cody, and two great nieces Alexis Emme and Victoria Matrisch. He was preceded in death by his father, David F. Ford, a son, Don Franklin Ford in infancy, a cousin Ronnie Ford, and his companion Cathy Barbour.

Paul worked as a mechanic at several places in Alton, and later at Keith’s Auto Repair in White Hall. He loved his cats, and enjoyed going to auctions around the area. He had attended the House of Restoration Church in Roodhouse.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 4, at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall with burial in Pine Tree Cemetery at Patterson.
