Betsie Austif, age 26, her son, Jacob and daughter Jocelyn all of Franklin, Il. died early Tuesday (January 31, 2017) in Franklin, Il.

Betsie was born January 31, 1991 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. daughter of Robert and Regina Saviola Tucker.

She married Jonathan E. Austif on February 2, 2015 in Franklin, Il. and he survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Abigail Schurman of Springfield, Il. and Issabelle Hopper of Roanoke, Virginia; Betsie’s parents, Robert and Regina Tucker of Lincoln, Il.; Jacob and Jocelyn’s paternal grandparents, Jeff Austif and fiancé Kathy of Franklin, Il. and Beverly Teaney of Phoenix, Az.; Betsie’s grandparents, Roger and Shirley Tucker of Olive Branch, Il., Larry and Linda Jones of Hartsburg, Il., Robert and Jo Henson of Piedmont, Mo., and Pete and Judy Saviola of Locust Grove, Va.; Betsie’s sisters, Whitney Proffitt and Maddi Tucker of Lincoln, Il.; Jacob and Jocelyn’s paternal great-grandparents, Robert Teaney of Winchester, Il., Kurt and Jean Hasselbring of Phoenix, Az.;Betsie’s brothers, Robert Austin Tucker of Lincoln, Il., and Gabriel W. Tucker of Springfield, Il.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins including Jonathan’s sisters, Amy Smith (Preston) of Jacksonville, Il. and Megan Austif of Franklin, Il.

Betsie was preceded in death by a brother, Jordan Proffitt; Jacob and Jocelyn’s paternal great-grandparents, Joseph Edger and Jean Austif.

Betsie was a devoted wife, and loving mother to Abigail, Issabelle, Jacob, born July 15, 2013,and Jocelyn born November 10, 2016. Betsie loved to knit, making blankets for children, and doing arts and crafts. She loved writing poetry, singing, and enjoyed reading. She was a member of the Franklin Christian Church where she sang in the choir, and watched children in the nursery. Betsie was a devout Christian who loved God with all her heart. She was a member of the Franklin Fire Department.

Jacob was a curious boy, who loved helping his father work on trucks. He loved watching Veggietales and loved Super Heros.

Jocelyn, born on the Marine Corps birthday, had her father’s ears and her mother’s smile. She was always a happy baby and loved being cuddled.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday (February 6, 2017) at the Franklin Christian Church in Franklin, Il. Private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Franklin Christian Church in Franklin, Il.
