Obituary of Kenneth Crow

Kenneth R. Crow, 83 of Waverly, passed away while vacationing in Orange

Beach, Alabama on Friday February 10th, 2017.

Kenny was born January 6th, 1934 in Clements, Il. son of the late Curtis and Emma (White)

Crow.

He married Della Mae Wynn on October 18, 1953 and she survives.

Also surviving are his children, Stanley Crow (LuAnn) and Gail Benton (Paul) both of Waverly, Il. and Jackie Davis (Brent) of Jacksonville, Il.; his grandchildren, Jessica Dikkers (Casey) of New Berlin, Il., Ashley Fiorito (Ryne) of Chatham, Il., Krista Benton (Brandon) of Round Lake, Il., Erin DeOrnellas (Kyle) of Waverly, Il., Ryne Turke of Jacksonville, Il. and Reed Turke of Houston, Tx.; eight step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Hayes and Judy Tepen (Eugene) both of Jacksonville, Il.; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kenny was a graduate of Franklin High School and veteran of the United States Army,

He ran Crow’s Body Shop in Waverly for many years, becoming well known for his

Ford Mustang restorations. Because of his skills, Kenny was honored as a Gold

Card National Car Judge and his work was published in Mustang Monthly, with

an article entitled “The Best of the Best”.

In his early years, Kenny farmed and ran a blacksmith shop, where he, at one time, built

a horse trailer for Michael Landon (Little Joe Cartwright).

Kenny and Della enjoyed 63 wonderful years of marriage together. Over the

years they rode horses, traveled across the country on motorcycles, showed

Mustangs and vacationed in their RV.

Kenny will be remembered for his distinct sense of humor, great story

telling and love for family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday (February 18, 2017) at Neece-Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Waverly, Il. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
