Obituary of Daryl Robson
Daryl W. Robson, 64, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born February 13, 1953, in Jacksonville, the son of Kenneth and Marie Crawley Robson. Daryl married Pamela Wyffels on August 27, 1988, in Minnesota, and she survives.
Daryl is also survived by three children, MacKenzie (Ethan) Walker of Jacksonville, and by a previous marriage, David (Nicole) Robson, of Jacksonville, and Dawn (John) Baker of Riverton; several grandchildren, and his mother, Marie Robson of South Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, David Lee Robson, and his twin brother, Dale Robson, and nephew Kelly Robson.
Daryl graduated from Franklin High School in 1971 and enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served until 1987, working as a missile mechanic and volunteering in underwater search and rescue in Wyoming. He later worked at AC Humco, and as a truck driver and school bus driver. Daryl enjoyed camping at the ILLI-WIKI-UP Camping Club, where he was known for his fireworks displays. He also enjoyed traveling to Minnesota to visit with his wife’s family, scuba diving, boating, and other water sports, and following the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017, at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville. The family will meet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
