Obituary of Anna Perkins
Anna J. Perkins, 67, of Jacksonville passed away Thursday morning, April 6, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 19, 1950 in Monticello, KY the daughter of James Wayne and Lexie Miller Perkins.
She is survived by two brothers, Donnie (Theresa) Perkins of Arcadia and Arlon (Josephine) Perkins of Liberty, KY; five sisters, Sarah Ralston of Jacksonville, Lexie Conner of Chatham, Tena (Jack) White of Franklin, Mary (Dick) Foster of Jacksonville and Brenda (Rich) Pipkin of Nilwood and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Joe, Jimmy, Bill, Bob and Larry Perkins and one sister, Betty Dawdy.
Anna was the sixth child in a family of 14. She spent 40 years taking pride in her work at Modern Care Convalescent Center in Jacksonville as a Certified Nurses Assistant and later worked at Jacksonville Convalescent Center. She enjoyed taking trips with her 6 sisters and enjoyed visiting many places over the years. She spent many hours listening to Buck Owens and Don Williams and enjoyed attending church on Sunday.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Jacksonville East Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Memorial Home Hospice. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
