Obituary of Addie Nergenah
Addie B. “Blossom” Nergenah, 88, of Chapin passed away Thursday morning, April 13, 2017 at Passavant Area Hospital. She was born February 26, 1929 in Beardstown the daughter of Roy and Dovie Martin Homer. She married Walter Verne Nergenah on August 13, 1949 and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1998.
She is survived by one son, David (Faith) Nergenah of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Amy (Ken) Rhoads of O’Fallon, MO, Ryan Nergenah of Virginia and Rachel (Daniel) Hackett of Jacksonville; four great-grandchildren, Trevor, Jenna and Trent Rhoads and Landon Hackett and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Clifford Homer and three sisters, Bernice Alderson Stewart, Alberta White and Louise “Johnny” Medlock.
Blossom was a devoted wife and mother. Family was the most important thing to her. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Chapin Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Triopia Boosters or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Williamson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
