Obituary of Bonnie Stice

Bonnie Gail Stice, 83, of South Jacksonville passed away Tuesday July 18, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born March 29, 1934 in Morgan County the daughter of the late Jessie and Hulda Lear Cannon.

She married Kenneth Stice February 18, 1983 in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death June 29, 2017.

Bonnie worked for the State of Illinois for 38 years and was a member of the Jacksonville Assembly of God where she worked in the nursery for many years.

Surviving are her sisters Betty Ann Bruce and Donna Dimitrov both of Jacksonville, stepchildren Gail (Junior) Dossett of Patterson, Brenda Smith of Loveland, Colorado and Russell (Debbie) Stice of Effingham.

Also surviving are 4 nieces Sheryl LaKamp of Jacksonville, Karen Howard of Divernon, Karla Cannon of Winchester, Patti Gregory of Glen Carbon, 3 nephews Bryan Cannon of Winchester, Ed Cannon of Jacksonville, Josh Cannon of Winchester, great nieces Hannah Cannon, Jessica LaKamp, Christina Held, Laura Cannon, and Beth Kaegy, great nephews Dylan Held, Alex LaKamp, Nick LaKamp and Nathan Kaegy, and her sister in law Judy Cannon of Winchester. Preceding her in death were her brothers William Cannon and David Cannon, and a nephew Greg Bruce.

A funeral service for Bonnie and Kenneth will be held at 11 am Tuesday July 25, 2017 at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery where military honors will be conducted for Kenneth. A visitation for Bonnie will be held on Monday July 24 from 5 until 7 pm at the Jacksonville Assembly of God Church.
