Obituary of Nathan Winkeljohn

            Nathan James Winkeljohn, age 39 of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at his home.  He was born July 6, 1978 in Quincy, the son of Richard and Judy Lewis Winkeljohn, and they survive in Quincy.  He married Jessica Ellen Wyatt on September 2, 2001 in Quincy, and she survives.

            Also surviving are two daughters, Natalie and Isabella Winkeljohn both at home;  his maternal grandmother, Jessie Lewis of Mendon; six brothers, Rick (wife, Carrie) of Rockford, Michael (wife, Mary) of Quincy, Christopher (wife, Sara), of Quincy, Shawn (wife, Heather) of Champaign, Seth (wife, Danielle) of O’Fallon, MO, and Isaac (wife, Anna) of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Clifford R. Lewis; paternal grandparents, Mary E. & Bud Winkeljohn; and a niece, Sarah Grace Winkeljohn.

            Nathan was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Jacksonville. He graduated from Quincy Senior High School in 1995.  He worked as a sales manager at U.S. Cellular in Jacksonville for over 10 years. He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed going to games with his brothers. More than anything he loved his family and spending time with his children.

            A service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 1, 2017,at the Kingdom Hall in Jacksonville. Memorials are suggested to his children. Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville is assisting the family. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
