Obituary of Leslie Cox Taylor

Leslie Renee Cox Taylor, age 55, of Grove, Oklahoma and formerly Waverly, Il. died Wednesday morning (March 7, 2018) in Grove, Oklahoma.

She was born July 26, 1962 in Jacksonville, Il. daughter of James Lester and Armetta Kay Clayton Cox.

She married Robert Taylor in Grove, Oklahoma and he survives.

Also surviving is her mother Armetta Kay Randall of Modesto, Il.; one son, Travis James Bramley (Tiffany) of Scottville, Il.; a step-daughter, Susanne Taylor of Selna, Ca.; two grandchildren, Andrew Stevenson and Tillie Kay Bramley all of Scottville, Il.; a brother, James Eric Cox (Julie) of Modesto, Il.; two half-sisters and a half-brother, Linda, Marla, and Jimbo all from Oklahoma; nieces, Jamie Erica Cox of Carlinville, Il. and Crystal Howard of Modesto, Il.; and an aunt, Virginia Mahan Bender (William) of Franklin, Il.

She was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, Robert and Veta Clayton; and paternal grandparents, John and Gera Cox.

She attended Robert Morris Business College and was a paralegal for a short time.  She was past employee of Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Springfield, Il. and also did housekeeping.  She was a member of the Cowboy Church in Grove, Oklahoma.  Leslie loved horses, camping, and her dog Trixie and motorcycle riding.  She had a heart as big as gold and always had a smile on her face. She was loved by all and will be missed.

Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Monday (March 12, 2018) at Neece-Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Waverly, Il.  Visitation will be held 5 p.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Armetta Kay Randall to help with expenses.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.airsman-hires.com.
