Vivian E. Ross, age 96 of Jerseyville, and formerly of White Hall, died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Liberty Village in Jerseyville. She was born February 18, 1921 in White Hall, the daughter of Charles and Jennie Blackketter Swarringim. She married Gherald A. Ross March 12, 1967 at the White Hall First Baptist Church, and he preceded her in death January 25, 2009.
Vivian is survived by a son, Danny (wife Jerrie) Boirum of Grafton, three granddaughters, Mindy Leavell of Overland Park, Kansas, Gina Hagen of Edwardsville, and Christy Reynolds of Springfield, seven great grandchildren , Lauren (Peter) Arntsen, Kelsey Slough, Makenzie Slough, Cole Hagen, Trey Hagen, Jared Reynolds, and Kaelen Hampton. There are two great great grandchildren, Riley Arntsen, and Reese Arntsen. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ken Leavell.
Vivian was a long time employee of the White Hall National Bank, retiring in 1987 after 37 years service. She also was a member of the First Baptist Church of White Hall. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and enjoyed keeping up with the accomplishments of her grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 for family and friends at the White Hall Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the North Greene Food Pantry. Condolences may be left on-line at www.Airsman-Hires.com /White Hall.
