Obituary of Lucille Weller

Lucille Weller, age 80, of Palmyra, Il. died early Thursday (January 12, 2017) at Heritage Health in Carlinville, Il.

She was born May 5, 1936 in Chesterfield, Il. daughter of the late Orin and Erma Wheeler Wyzard.

She married Lawrence Edward Weller on December 24, 1958 in Palmyra, Il. and he preceded her in death on May 20, 2014.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda (John) Ambrose of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, Deanna Weller of Sarasota, Fla., Susie (Jim) Gracey of Carlinville, Ill.; one son, Wayne (Shanda) Weller of Palmyra, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Valerie (Kevin) Simpson of West Frankfort, Ill., Lindsey Heigert of Sarasota, Fla., Cassey Gracey of Austin, Tx., Corey Gracey of Carlinville, Ill., Jamie Straub of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, Katie Weller of Palmyra, Ill., and Jason Weller of Palmyra, Ill.; a great-grandson, K.J. Simpson of West Frankfort, Ill.; two step great-grandchildren, Samantha Simpson & Tyler Simpson of Girard, Ill.; and one nephew, Don (Ilene) Stults of Chesterfield, Il.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Dean Stults.

Lucille graduated from Carlinville High School. She farmed alongside her husband for many years. She enjoyed being with her family, reading, sewing and gardening. Lucille was a member of the Palmyra First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday (January 21, 2017) at Stults-Neece Chapel in Palmyra, Il. Burial will be in Weller Cemetery near Palmyra, Il. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to Weller Cemetery Mowing Fund c/o Stults-Neece Chapel, Main St., Palmyra, Il.
