Obituary of Dona Lippert

Dona J. Lippert, 82, of Metamora passed away early Sunday morning, April 30, 2017 at OSF Medical Center in Peoria. She was born January 23, 1935 in Beardstown the daughter of Elmer Moore and Viola Webster. She married Norman P. Lippert in Peoria in 1952 and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2012.

She is survived by four sons, Steven P. (Patti Spietz) Lippert of Peoria, Rick L. (Connie) Lippert of Morton, Dennis M. Lippert of Dallas, TX and David R. (Amber) Lippert of Garland, TX; four grandchildren, Jeffrey (Cori) Lippert of Washington, IL, Lindsey (Mark) Sefried of Morton, Benjamin (Amy) Lippert of Atlanta, GA and Jennifer (Justin) Rahe of Abilene, TX; five great-grandchildren, Tyler Lippert, Audrey Sefried, Eva Sefried, Jacob Rahe, Lauren Rahe and a great-granddaughter on the way; two brothers, Jerry Fisher of Quincy and James E. Tolle of Staten, OR; one sister, Joyce (George) Knight of Quincy and several nieces and nephews.

 Mrs. Lippert had been employed as a supermarket cashier and manager for many years. Following her retirement, she and her husband enjoyed making crafts, which took them to many craft fairs and antique malls. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid shopper and reader. She loved to spend time with her family, especially travelling to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville with burial at Arenzville North Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Illinois CancerCare Foundation. Condolences may be left online at
