Obituary of Linda Tribble

 

 

  Linda G. Tribble, 72, of Eldred died on Tuesday morning August 29, 2017 at White Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in White Hall.

    Born in Carrollton on Nov. 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Beatrice Dale Camerer.  She was married to Charles “Butch” Tribble on Nov. 23, 1967 and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2000.

    Linda was a graduate of Carrollton High School and the Gradwohl School of Laboratory Technique in St. Louis.  Linda did her internship in Sulphur, LA where she made lifelong friends.  She worked several years in area hospitals (Passavant, Boyd Memorial and White Hall Hospital) but retired from Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville.   She was a member of the Eldred Baptist Church.

    Surviving are her daughter: Jennifer Castille, Jennifer’s dear friend Robin Gandy , and the light of her life: granddaughter, Darby Castille of Green Valley, AZ.  Sisters: Phyllis Whitlock of Panama City Beach, FL, Kay (Bill) Nichols of Jacksonville, several nieces and nephews, sister –in-laws: Melody Camerer and Liz Camerer and brother-in-law: Don Stendeback  also survive.    Linda always made herself available to people in need.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Betty Ritter and Janet Stendeback, two brothers: Charles and Bob Camerer, and brother-in-law: Art Ritter.

     Visitation will be from 4-7 Tuesday Sept. 5, 2017 at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10 A.M. on Wednesday with burial in the Eldred Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Eldred Baptist Church or Meals on Wheels.  Condolences may be left online at: www.airsman-hires.com.
