Obituary of Bonita Brown
Bonita Brown, 71, of Jacksonville, died Friday, February 2, 2018, at her residence. She was born January 8, 1947, in Woodson, the daughter of Orville and Ima Poore Price. Bonita married Chester Brown, and he survives in Shelby, North Carolina.
Bonita is also survived by one daughter, Kristina Dugan of Jacksonville, six grandchildren, Jordan Dugan, Tara DeGroot, Dustin Dugan, Jeremy Dugan, Nicholas Teaney, and Chance Morris, four great-grandchildren, her mother, Ima Price of Jacksonville, two sisters, Linda (David) Brogdon of Jacksonville and Diana Lee of Florida, and one half-sister, Patty (Jared) Duke Cook of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by one son, Troy Price.
Bonita was a homemaker and had previously worked at Mobil Chemical. She enjoyed her pets, crafts, and reading, and was “Mom” and “Grandma” to everyone.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Williamson Funeral Home. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
