Obituary of Doris Hoover

            Doris M. Hoover, 87, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Jacksonville.  She was born December 17, 1930, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth Coffman Tribble.  Doris married Warren Robinson on March 21, 1948, in Jacksonville, and he preceded her in death on July 30, 1971.  She later married Wallace G. Hoover on July 29, 1978, in Elmhurst, and he preceded her in death on September 19, 1988.

            Doris is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Doyle (surviving husband Merle of Jacksonville), and three brothers, Jesse W. “Bud” Tribble, Francis A. “Freck” Tribble, and Melvin E. “Tag” Tribble (surviving wife Beverly of Jacksonville). 

            Doris was a seamstress and worked for dry cleaners in Phoenix, Arizona for several years.  She was a member of Liter Baptist Church, Women of the Moose, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.  She enjoyed camping, fishing, and taking trips with her friends from Labor Drive.

            A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Williamson Funeral Home, with burial at a later date at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.  The family will meet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Great Lakes Hospice.  Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
