Obituary of Bessie Wainman
Bessie Elizabeth Wainman, age 88 of Pittsfield died Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born July 15, 1929 in Camp Point, the daughter of Hamill Robison and Lillian Meyer Robison. She married Floyd “Sonny” Wainman in 1964 in Pittsfield and he preceded her in death January 13, 2012.
Surviving are two daughters, Kimberly (Bill) Hunter of Paynesville, MO, Janice (Robert) Foster of Arizona, two sons, Gary (Jean) Foster of Pittsfield, Randy L. Foster of Cameron, MO, ten grandchildren, Karla Gatchell, Randy J. Foster, Brian Miller, Season Cawthon, Christina Collins, Shelby, Allison, Cole Hunter, Danny and Jeff Brennecke, ten great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Bessie retired after 35 years from Bi-Rite Grocery Store in Pittsfield. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, square dancing, music, cooking, canning, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and watching their sporting events. She was devoted to her husband for 48 years. She was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Pittsfield with burial to follow in Griggsville City Cemetery.
