Obituary of Aaron Brogdon
Aaron W. “Bill” Brogdon, 75, of Jacksonville passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Passavant Area Hospital. He was born April 21, 1942 in Jacksonville the son of Roy Clayton and Vena Mae Whitaker Brogdon. He married Ruth Ann Rider on June 3, 1962 and she preceded him in death on September 29, 2004. He later married Julie Thomas on September 9, 2009 and she survives.
He is also survived by 4 daughters, Rhonda Brogdon (Jeffrey Schultz) of Duluth, MN, Kimberly (Gene) Confer, Vickie Brogdon and Heather (Brent) Harrelson all of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy Downs, Paul Clark, Jr., Josh King, Amber Clark, Jessica King, Jessica Nolting, Katie King, Robert Kennedy, Willie King and Ashley Alexander; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Roy (Aleta) Brogdon of Richland, WA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Marsha Brogdon and his parents.
Bill retired from Mobil as a forklift operator after 28 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and hunting.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018 at Jacksonville East Cemetery.The family will host a celebration of life following the gravside service at the Amvets in Jacksonville.
