Obituary of Delmar Rosenberger

            Delmar Rosenberger, 73, of Woodson, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  He was born September 10, 1944, near DuQuoin, the son of John Henry and Marie Rees Rosenberger.  He married Judy Hawks on April 24, 1965, and she survives.

            Delmar is also survived by four children, Darren (Gina) Rosenberger of Jacksonville, Joni (Darrin) Cummings of New Berlin, Aimee (Mark) Fromme of Alexander, and Jay (companion, Terrie Day) Rosenberger of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren, Mallory Edwards of Springfield, Brady Cummings, Cam Cummings, and Will Cummings all of New Berlin, Taylor Rosenberger of Jacksonville, Ben Fromme of Biloxi, Mississippi, Olivia Fromme of Alexander, and Gage Rosenberger of Jacksonville; and two brothers, Henry Rosenberger of Waverly and Leon Rosenberger of Abbeville, Louisiana.

            Delmar worked for 40 years as a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 137 in Springfield.  He enjoyed traveling South with Judy in their motorhome in the winters, visiting family and friends.  He also enjoyed coffee with friends at Norma’s, road tripping with family and friends to different flea markets and antique shops.  Above all else, Delmar loved cheering on his grandkids at their sporting events.  He was very proud of them and all of their accomplishments.

            A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Calvary Cemetery.  The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.  Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
