Obituary of Sonja Craddock
Sonja Craddock, 71, of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born April 16, 1947, in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of Marvin and Maxine Hacker Blackburn. Sonja married Hugh P. “Mike” Craddock on June 30, 1989, in Hannibal, Missouri, and he survives.
Sonja is also survived by five children, Pamella (Anthony) Cundari of Brookfield, Bryan (Leslie) McEwen of Columbia, Missouri, Gary (Shannon) Craddock of Jacksonville, Michael Craddock of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and David Harper of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; her mother, Maxine Gollehon of Titusville, Pennsylvania, one sister, Donna (John) Noel of Titusville, Pennsylvania, and one brother, Vince (Brenda) Gollehon of Albemarle, North Carolina. Sonja was preceded in death by her father and step-father, Richard Gollehon.
Sonja was a dog groomer for many years and had owned and operated the Family Pet Stop in Jacksonville with her husband. She enjoyed gardening, watching birds and nature, camping and fishing, and spending her summers at Lake Jacksonville.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
