Obituary of Rosemary Williams

Rosemary Williams, 77, of Carrollton passed away early Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at White Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 2, 1940 in Oak Park, the daughter of Peter and Myrtle Haneman Holmeide. She married Terry H. Williams on August 17, 1960, at the First Baptist Church in Carrollton, and he preceded her in death on January 16, 1986.

She is survived by two daughters, Ellen (Marty) Clemens of New Berlin, and Carol (Tim) Thaxton of Carrollton, six grandchildren, Stephen (Jessica) Thaxton of Waukesha, WI, Tara Rose Riemer of Springfield, Amber (Rick) Cartwright of Carrollton, Zachary Clemens of Springfield, Kelsey (John) Robb of Pleasant Plains, and Eric (Jonnie) Thaxton of Carrollton; six great grandchildren, Mya Riemer, Gavin and Airianna Cartwright, Lillian Davidson, Laila Bibb, and Ashlynn Robb; a sister-in-law, Carla White of Carrollton; brother-in-law, Jerry (Marie) Williams of Carrollton. She was preceded in death by three brothers, infant, Gary, William, and Norman Holmeide.

Rosemary was a member of the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was a retired Deaconess of Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. A member of the Beta Sigma Phi, Red Hats and the Fox Theater. Rosemary loved the fine arts, was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Carrollton with burial at Kane Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00p.m. on Thursday at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton. Memorials are suggested to the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
