Obituary of Kay Rothering
Kay Lynn Rothering, 78, of Winchester passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at her home. She was born October 3, 1939, the daughter of Haden and Martha Jenkins King. She married Galen Robert “Mick” Rothering on November 16, 1957 in Effingham, being happily married for 60 years, and he survives.
She is also survived by four children, Kelly Rothering, and Rebecca (Brian) Piechowski both of Winchester, Scott Rothering of Taylorville, and Anthony (Janice) Rothering of Auburn; nine grandchildren, Kayla Little, Emma, Zachary, and Margaret Rothering, Hannah Neusch, Mathew, Jonathon, and Sara Piechowski, and Sebastian Rothering; two great grandchildren, Myah Little and Finley Neusch; a sister, Carol Wood of Sandoval; and a brother, Bobby Burnett of TN. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Samuel Piechowski; two brothers, Alan King, and Pete King; and a sister, Marjo Allen.
Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and teacher. She loved and served the Lord. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Private services funeral services were held. The Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester was in charge of the services. Memorials are suggested to the Morgan County Right to Life or to the Winchester Public Library. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
