Obituary of Julie Cox
Julie Cox, age 50, of Waverly, Il. died Wednesday evening (July 18, 2018) at Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville, Il.
She was born July 11, 1968 in Jacksonville, Il. daughter of the late Ralph and Charlotte Graham Stanberry.
She married Jim Cox on September 25, 2004 in Palmyra, Il. and he survives.
Also surviving are four children, Frankie Howard (companion Katy Schmedeke), Derek Howard of Waverly, Il., Jay Howard (Katie) of Astoria, Il., and Crystal Howard of Modesto, Il.; two grandchildren, Finley Howard of Astoria, Il. and Addison Behymer of Scottville, Il.; one sister, Melanie Workman of Greenfield, Il.; four brothers, David Graham (Muriel) of Washington, Il., Daryel Stanberry of Kincaid, Il., Raymond Stanberry of White Hall, Il., Richard Stanberry of Waverly, Il.; and several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Merle and Burrell and Nelson Stanberry.
Julie was a 1986 graduate of Waverly High School. She later attended Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, Il. She loved to garden, fish, sew, and hike. She also collected bells of every kind. She was a member of Franklin Christian Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday (July 28, 2018) at the Franklin Christian Church in Franklin, Il.
