Obituary of Paul Kemper
Paul G. Kemper, 45 of Winchester passed away Friday evening July 27, 2018 in Carlinville. He was born May 16, 1973 in Jacksonville the son of the late Louis Kemper and Mary Radefeld Kemper.
Paul attended Winchester High School. He was a member of St. Mark’s Church. He worked for EMI Music/Capital Record for 14 years. After the plant closing he worked for Reynolds Corporation until health issues forced him from work. He loved to mushroom hunt, enjoyed visiting Las Vegas. Paul was an avid Cardinal fan and barbeque enthusiast while spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving is his mother Mary of Winchester; sister Kim Ellis (Lyndle) of Griggsville; brothers Jeff Kemper (Stephanie) and Brad Kemper (Kristen) bother of Winchester. Also surviving are 6 nieces and nephews and 3 great nephews; Kristin Killebrew (Keenan), Breanna Kemper-Damm (Jamie), Cameron Kemper, Lynley Ellis, Kortni Kemper, Kaitlyn Kemper, Konner Killebrew, Kolten Killebrew, and Braxton Damm. He is also survived by his beloved Yorkie “Oscar”. Paul did not have any children of his own and was always extremely proud of his nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his father Louis; two brothers Todd and Timmy Kemper, his maternal grandparents Delbert and Mary Deeder and paternal grandparents George and Ellen Kemper.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday August 1, 2018 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Winchester. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Pittsfield. The family will meet friends from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester. A prayer service will be held at 5:45.
