Obituary of Rosemary Tepen

 

Rosemary Reese Tepen, 80, of Carrollton died on Sunday September 9, 2018 at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville.

Born in Jerseyville, on March 5,1938, she is the daughter of the late Robert and Norma (Downey) Reese. She married Norman Tepen on Feb. 1, 1958, and he preceded her in death on March 25, 2011.

Survived by her children, John (wife Judy) Tepen, Mike (wife Beth) Tepen, Sharon (husband Steve) Loy, and Phil Tepen all of Carrollton, Dan (wife Allison) Tepen of Hillview, and Mark (wife Angela) Tepen of Lees Summit, MO. 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. 2 brothers, Bob (wife Judy) Reese, and Phil (wife Rosa) Reese both of Jerseyville.

She was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Krissy Tepen, wife of Phil Tepen.

Rosemary was a wife, mother, homemaker, and later in life was employed at Wal-Mart until her retirement in 2011. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 13, 2018 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Carrollton.  A prayer service will be held at 3:40 p.m. that day.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday Sept. 14, 2018 at the Church with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Memorials will be directed to Carrollton Public Library, or to Greene County Health Department.   Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is in charge of arrangements.   Condolences may be left online at:  www.airsman-hires.com.
