Obituary of James Malin

James T. “Jamie” Malin, 64, of White Hall died Friday, September 7, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born August 17, 1954 in White Hall, the son of the late Donald L. Malin and Opal J. Powell Malin who survives in White Hall.

Also surviving are three sons, Travis (Rachael) Wells of White Hall, Tobey Malin of Woodson, and Shane (Katie) Malin of Jacksonville; eleven grandchildren, Elizabeth Wells, Haley Wells, Tyvin Wells, Steven Wells, Kellie Malin, Brent Malin, Dawson Malin, Nevaeh Malin, Benjamin Malin, Jocelyn Malin, and Madelyn Malin; and a brother, Richard Malin of White Hall. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kimmy Joe Malin.

Jamie was a lifelong member and was part of the Worship Team at New Life Church in White Hall, the last three years he attended Gentle Shepherd and assisted with worship. He was a self-employed Beautician for 41 years in White Hall and a volunteer fireman for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing guitar. He loved spending time with his family, especially watching Bears football and Cardinals baseball with his sons. More than anything he loved his grandchildren.
